Junaid Jamshed Died at PIA Plan Crash – ISLAMABAD: Famous singer-turned-Islamic-preacher Junaid Jamshed has also been said to on board the Islamabad-bound flight that crashed near Havelian on Wednesday.
Reportedly, the renowned singer’s brother confirmed that he was on board the flight, along with his wife.
Junaid Jamshed is a famous Islamic preacher and travels extensively for preaching purposes. Jamshed was already in Chitral for preaching-related work.
The passenger list also included Jamshed and his wife’s names. Speaking to Geo News, Junaid Jamshed’s fellow preacher Mehmood Alam said that Jamshed was in Chitral for a preaching trip of ten days.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief Imran Khan also expressed his condolence over the tragic crash in a tweet on social media platform Twitter.

A Pakistan International Airlines passenger plane flying from Chitral crashed on its flight to Islamabad, officials said.
According Civil Aviation Authority sources, the ATR-42 plane with 47 passengers went missing from the radar near Havelian while it was on its way to Islamabad.
Eyewitnesses said they had seen a plane crash in a hilly area near Havelian, near the Ordinance factory. Clouds of smoke could be seen rising from the area of the reported crash.
Ground rescue teams had been sent to the area, sources said.
According to Samaa News, Junaid Jamshed, who was in Chitral for last few days for preaching reasons, was due to return to Islamabad from this flight.
The brother of Junaid Jamshed has confirmed to Samaa that his brother was onboard on this flight.
What more disturbing is that he was traveling along with his family.

All 47 passenger on-board flight are feared dead after a PIA ATR plane crashed near Havelian city of Abbotabad district on Wednesday.
The CAA spokesman said the plane was scheduled to land at Islamabad airport; hence, the information is being gathered if the plane was crashed.

The said plane took off from Peshawar for Islamabad at 3:50 PM and it was scheduled to reach Islamabad at 4:40 PM.
The plane did not reach the destiny and it is highly feared that all 47 passengers onboard might be dead.
Pakistan Army contingents have been sent out to the crash spot.
Army helicopters have also been mobilised to assist in the search.
DIG Hazara division Saeed Khan while speaking to Samaa TV stated the fully equipped police party has also been dispatched to the crash site and they will reach there very soon.
